Super League Grand Final: Josh Jones front and centre for Salford Red Devils

A lot has changed to Josh Jones since his appearance in the Super League Grand Final.
Its five years since he was a part of the St Helens team which defeated Wigan Warriors 14-6 against if facet Salford Red Devils step out on the pitch the team he will now line up, in Old Trafford.
The change has been shifting into the forwards, although jones feels old and wiser not to mention having had a bout playing rugby union for Exeter Chiefs.
Since linking Salford in 2016, something which arrived at the proposal of head coach Ian 29,, the 26-year-old has created the transition from centre to second row.
When I came back into Salford, Watto said did I need to play at the back row, Jones told Sky Sports. I enjoy getting in the middle, I enjoy defending, I enjoy attacking, I enjoy playing off the half and being involved a little more.
Since then, I have right into it and fortunately I have had a terrific year this season – and hopefully its not done yet.
I dont need to be quick to play back either, which is excellent! I will simply rely on my power and my footwork.
The rampaging danger he poses in the forward is underlined by the fact only three players have generated yards compared to the 3,383 Jones has racked up – one of these being team-mate Jackson Hastings.
It is no real surprise to Jones the Red Devils inspirational half-back maintained the 2019 Man of Steel award, hailing his performances for the team but also for helping the former Blackbrook amateur draw his particular game on too.
Hes attracted my game onto leaps and bounds and that is why he won Man of Steel, since he has been the best player in the league annually – and it is revealed, Jones explained.
He is brought more of this pleasure variable back for me. Were great partners onto the field and off it, and from everyone that I probably spend more time and Joey Lussick off the field – with the way we perform on the area and that has been replicated.
He has made my stats go through the roof and Ive never worked so hard in a game for him! But hes a fantastic player and bloke, and if there is anyone to become a talisman for the club it is him.
Jones performances have caught the attention of Great Britain head coach Wayne Bennett with the rear row being named as the Salford participant in the elite execution squad for the winter tour.
The opportunity of being on the airplane for the Lions tour for over a decade has planned some disruption to plans having to put back due to getting married after the Grand Final of this week, his honeymoon.
But it is a sacrifice Jones is pleased to create whether it means being a part of the group to face New Zealand Tonga and Papua New Guinea.
I have an extremely busy week, Jones stated. Ive got a Grand Final Saturday, have married on Sunday and then, should I get on the tour, I venture out together on Wednesday.
The honeymoon plans are long gone, but we could go away any time. Playing for Great Britain only comes about once in a life, therefore I could not pass that opportunity up.
I had the older Great Britain replica shirt, so thats sort of my final memory of it and also to wear that top could make me happy with myself – and my family could be proud of me too
The Grand Final is the only thing on Jones head at present until he joins Super League rivals Hull FC season and it will mark the final match at a Red Devils shirt for him personally.
However, it is a strange turn of fate he finds himself playing from the club that he won the Grand Final with – something which is not lost on Jones on one of the biggest phases of league his final match for Salford.
Its almost written in the stars, isnt it? What a way to bow out, Jones explained. I love playing against Saints and now I have done since I have been in Salford.
If we are able to do the way we know we can then well undoubtedly have a chance of winning.
