Charles Leclerc given two time penalties in Japanese GP after Max Verstappen collision
After being passed two time penalties in the wake of his battle with Max Verstappen charles Leclerc has dropped somewhere to seventh at a GP result.
The Ferrari driver was supplied a five-second sanction to its episode itself after stewards ruled Leclerc wasmostly at fault for the crash, which forced the Red Bull off course and effectively ended Verstappens race.
But Leclerc was handed a severe 10-second punishment for continuing with a front wing beyond the opening lap – then carrying on for a lap after it had broken apart and debris broken Lewis Hamiltons Mercedes wing mirror behind.
Ferrari were also fined 25,00 Euro as a Outcome
By not bringing automobile 16 to the pits at the end of a 1, immediately following the incident for a security inspection when there was damage obviously observable and then by telling the driver to stay outside for an extra lap after telling the Race Director otherwise, the team created a dangerous condition on the circuit that only narrowly avoided being a major episode and increased the probability of further incidents after the one mentioned, stated the stewards.
Leclerc falls to place behind Renaults Daniel Ricciardo.
